Strategic Principles

Prayerful dependence: everything begins with prayer
Recognises that our church’s life and fruitfulness depend on God, not just planning
Discipleship first: prioritize spiritual growth and life-on-life discipling
Puts disciple-making at the centre of every ministry, not as an add-on
Intergenerational connection: build bridges between generations and cultures
Ensures we intentionally create a church that values and learns from diversity in age and culture
Mission outward: engage meaningfully with our local and global community
A posture of reaching beyond the church walls, not just caring for those inside
Stewardship: use our people, property, and resources for kingdom purposes
Encourages wise use of what God has entrusted to our church
Truth shaped: grounded in God’s Word and led by His Spirit in all we do
Anchors all we do in Scripture and in the guidance of the Holy Spirit

What actually happens?

About an hour and a quarter: a mix of traditional and contemporary worship songs, prayer, and a message from the Bible. We share communion on the first Sunday of the month, and we usually take a few minutes to hear what is happening in the church family, in our local community, and with the people we support overseas.

What do I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable in. You will see everything from jeans to a jacket, and nobody will notice which one you picked.

What happens with my children?

Children start the service with the adults and then head out to their own programmes, which run during school term time from pre-school up to Year 9. Kids Rock (school years 1–6) finishes around 11:15am. During school holidays and long weekends we have activity packs instead, so children stay in with you.

I have a baby. Is that a problem?

Not at all — babies are welcome in the service. There is also a dedicated Mum and Baby space with a kitchenette and a live video feed, so you can step out without missing anything.

Will someone talk to me?

Yes, but only as much as you want. Morning tea runs after the service and we would love to meet you. If you would rather slip away quietly, that is completely fine too.

English is not my first language.

You are very welcome. We are a multicultural church and several languages are spoken here on a Sunday. 中文 · 한국어 · Te Reo Māori. We also run Kay’s English Class during the week, and our online Bible can show two languages side by side.

Am I expected to give money?

No. Giving is something our church family does, not something visitors are asked to do. Nobody will pass anything to you.

Street address to be supplied
Hillcrest, Auckland
